Located directly across from California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) an off-campus student housing complex put together by public-private partnership. The complex nearly doubles the University’s student housing by adding 597 beds.
Phase 1 was open by the summer of 2012 and provided 288 beds. The second phase includes 309 more beds. The complex was designed and constructed to achieve LEED Silver designation by the U.S. Green Building Council, which recognizes the sustainability, efficiency and innovation of high performance buildings.
Both phases of the project were ahead of schedule and under budget. The 150,000-sf student housing complex includes 110 units. Each dorm features a full kitchen, stainless steel appliances, and a lounge space with a flat screen television, a full bathroom for every two beds and high speed fiber optics connection and Wi-Fi. Common area amenities will include two student lounges, classroom spaces, resort-style pool, barbecue, modern fitness center, game cave, laundry facilities and a catering kitchen. The Quad also consists of 8,000 sq. ft. of retail space on Campus Way.
